Called Apple for a battery replacement on Tuesday afternoon, got it Wednesday morning. Don’t you love Apple?

man my blackbook battery went dead on me with the [x]> icon thing showing off. That’s it, I will not recommend an apple laptop, it is a very poorly built laptop and your better off with a sony frankly speaking.

mishref, I disagree with you.. Apple laptops are very well built, but they have battery problem with the old models.. Just give it another shot and hopefully you’ll change your mind.

I am speaking from 7 years experience with their laptops .. I used to have the G4 ibook 12″ and after 2 years the logic board went off (so as the 60% of our class who received the same laptop as we joined the college) Then I bought the blackbook and guess what? The plastic part near the mouse pad is popping out due to the heat and it is a smug magnet. Now I have the battery issue. On the other hand I have a Dell Inspiron That works just fine (slow) but fine, which I bought at 2001
