Chrijewslam: Wonders
The main reason why I stopped posting lately is that every time I get into the word processor I end up writing about religious topics, which I’m not willing to share since my bases aren’t that strong yet to propose an idea concerning such a critical topic that requires a lot of reading and researching!
However, I found myself this time forced to share my wonders about Islam! I am kind off sick of keeping these thoughts in my head and I figured the only way to get it them out is by sharing them with someone else, here is a list of some thoughts I had lately concerning Islam:
-Why are the religious leaders are trying to be different than the rest of the people, and I mean in the way the dress, talk and live! Why don’t they get more down to earth, which will indeed make the communication between them and regular people easier? I’m specially talking about the younger generation!
-Why is the personalizing of Islam depending on the culture and dressing it to be the truth!
-Most of Muslims speakers lack the basics of giving a speech! You just can’t stand and yell with the loudest you can and except people to listen to you!
-Wouldn’t be better if people starting behaving the way Islam asked them to do than praying five times a day without having any idea about the meaning of the prayers!
-Why did my Islamic education teacher kick me out of class whenever I asked a question that they couldn’t answer?
I have tons of these questions still on my mind that I might share with you when the time is right, but for now I would be more than happy to get any answers for my wonders.

From the beginning of time, people were divided into 3 categories:
1- people who like to call themselves religious: they basically have the wrong image about their religion coz they didn’t get the whole idea and they let other people do the thinking for them, such people are also called hypocrites..
2- people who like to call themselves atheists: they identified what religious people did, and thought ” why the hell should i believe in god, look at the actions of those who do believe!!!
3-true believers: those people know exactly why there were created, they know their path and everything they do or say comes from true exprience, they think for theirselves!
now, if you wanna join the third category you need to use your common sense , the problem is, common sense is NOT so common!!
anyways, i think it’s really wrong to generalize, i mean have you actually talked to ALL religious leaders???
as for your islamic education teacher don’t blame him, he was brain washed to join category #1

Game Over,
Good points.. Regarding the point where I generalized.. No, I haven’t talked to ALL religious leaders, but I haven’t seen any public figure that act or dress like any of us, my point is what’s the point from wearing a uniform, 3mamah we besht!

:s well, why do doctors wear lab coats and stethoscopes, and why do policemen wear special uniforms. i mean do you expect a religious authority to wear a gap sweater and a pair of jeans! well, this idea is not so bad, it would be nice to see a religious leader in modern outfits but i guess they feel more comfortable in their ordinary uniforms
anyways, why are you more concerned with the outside rather than the inside?

Gamer Over,
Professional jobs require a uniform to fulfill a purpose with in that job, for example doctors wear the lab coats to protect their clothes from the blood, but I see no purpose for the religious people to wear a uniform! Is that uniform assigned by God or was that what the people in the old days -ayam el rasool- used to wear.

to protect them from blood??? give me a break
psychiatrists still wear lab coats, do they need protection from blood also??
i don’t know if the uniform is assigned by god or not, but i know that almost evey occupation in this world has its own uniform, so why can’t religious leaders have their own uniform
and by the way the whole 3amamah and besht thing, these stuff were known waaay back then (ayam al rsool) al rsool himself used to wear 3amamah !
by the way, you didn’t answer my question
why are you more concerned with the outside rather than the inside?
i.e
will the lab coat make you a better dentist?

Game Over,
Is being a religious leader is considered a job! If so where did they get paid from? I’m sorry sha6yt 3an el topic shway..
Answering your question, Why am I more concerned about the outside rather than the inside? Basically, because the outside is what made me suspicious at the first place! that is how it all got started, wondering if they see their selves in a higher position than the rest. I’m sure that most of them don’t, but I’ve been always wondering!
I did my own research on the inside and I reached a point where I’m not concerned about it anymore and methel matgoal 9arat 3endy gana3ah.
After I found it so simple, I started wondering again, why are they trying to complete it!

Fine, i understand.. but why did you give up your research on the inside, isn’t it as important as the outside?
i’m not syaing that the outfits are not important, in fact you can learn a lot about people from the way they dress, the way they talk, the way they walk…but in the case of 3amamah, what difference does it make?
covering one’s head is a very old tradition (think of hindu, rabbi, popes, pharaohs, emperors…etc)i do agree with you that some religious leaders like to wear it because they think they are superior creatures upon us , but i can’t assure you that all leaders think the same, nor can i tell you that all of them are humble, but i can tell you this : don’t mind the 3amamah, try to search for what’s beneath it..

Salamz Blo,
Hope u r doing well with your studies. I really gotta say I enjoy what you write A LOT.
Anyways, I think you portrayed “religious” people the way many westerners do; pragmatic and shouting the whole time when we all know that not ALL of them are like that. Wallah I met lots of great “religious” people who are moderate, talked much sense, wore like regular people, and never kicked me out of class when I asked them a question they didn’t know the answer to!..
Be careful of generalization; it’s only because those moderate ones deserve acknowledgement!
