Welcome Aboard 800IS
Ever since I had used my sister compact camera, I felt the need of getting one. My Canon EOS 20D is doing just fine, but I needed to get something more flexible to carry on with me to dinners and social events.
I started reading some reviews and asking friends about there camera, and finally i decided to get a Leica compact camera, but I changed my mind when I found that it is an exact copy of Panasonic Lumix with different name. A Couple days back I was going through Jacqui blog when I found her post about the Sony N2, I felt in an immediate love with it, and went the day after it to get it from best buy.
It was the only thing I had in mind, but as soon as I got in direct contact with it, I felt that I got coned by the pictures, It looks kind of bulky and the touch screen is full of finger prints -I’m a clean freak-, beside it there was Canon SD800 IS. I stood over there for like and hour or so, I tried both of them, but still not sure what to get - They were at the same price-. The Hot young lady works there recommended me the Canon. At the End I went home with the Sony N2.

When I got back home, I still wasn’t sure about having the N2 along with my Canon family. After 30min, I decided to go back and exchange it with Canon SD800 IS. How I felt after exchanging it? Way much better =). Actually I’m in love with it. I LIKE.

What made me Exchange the Sony N2 with Canon SD800 IS:
- The N2 looked much bigger than the SD800IS.
- The touch screen N2 has, attracts fingerprint, and it has a space between the LCD screen and the borders, which I think it’s going to be filled with dust over time.
- Sony uses it’s own products -Uses different memory cards-.
- Canon SD800 IS has a face detecting feature, neat ha!
- I’m a Canon guy.
P.S
I’ve got it for $399.9+Tax

Yaw. What social events? you mean parteeZ yo lil GawGaw. heheh

I wish I could do the same thing and make a decision I’m still going back and forth on what Digital Camera to get. I dont want something expensive but I do want something quite good. That takes decent pictures, hell great pictures, and doesn’t take too much space in my bag.
It’s going to be a birthday gift to myself, I am actually considering a Casio Exilm but I am not sure still.
