Bus trip – Kuwait city
It was 5.30am the ring bills and the B.Oz walked up .There is a mission planned from around a year and it’s the day to be done. The mission is to get on a public bus (It is so wearied to ride a public bus on Kuwait!), any way and heading to Kuwait city then exploring the city and then back to the starting point.
First I went to the supermarket parked my car and waited my mate to start the mission, he arrives around 6.20am, went to star bucks to have a quick hot drink then to the bus station.
The bus came in and it says he is going to Al-gahra gate, I thought he was going to Al-gahra which wasn’t on the plan, then I realized that Al-gahra gate is on Kuwait city!, the second bus came on also labeled with a sign Al-gahra gate, I was taking a picture then he beeb us and skip the station! He even didn’t stop! -&^^% &^$#-, the third bus we ride it, it costs 200 Fils, It was air-conditioned little dirty and so smelly, the driver was crazy and too speedy for a bus he gets in between cars, and it seems that the bus will fall every time he U-turns!.
It stopped first in Mishref – 2 stops – ( where were we ) then Byan – 4 stops -then Al-gabrya – 4 stops- then Hawally-3 stops- then Al-morgab-3stops- ( Not sure where was it ) then Al-salhya.
I was planning to get pictures of Kuwait landmarks (which I haven’t found any on the road) but the glass was so dirty and dark which wasn’t so helpful.
The first mission done, which was riding a bus on Kuwait, the second mission is to explore Kuwait city, we started from Al-salhya building moving toward Libration tower ending on Kuwait Stock market though Al-mobrakya historical market then backing home, the weather starts to burn at 8.30am.
On the way of exploring Kuwait city we met with lots of dudes who kept asking which magazine we are from lol and if I am able to take picture of them, took some shots and I can tell these people have a talent on posing for the camera lol.
Mission done at 11.30am

oh man thats soo cool. me and nibaq have been wanting to go on a bus trip for agest but we seemed to have forgotten about it. btw i think the sheesha place is right next to my office..

When we used to live down in Abu Halifa, we took the bus to Fahaheel all the time with my mom. They actually have the front rows of seats reserved for women, but if they’re full, the men automatically get up and offer you their seats.
A Kuwaiti family friend told us that when he was a youngster (1970s) he and his friends used to take the bus everywhere they went also. Back then it was no big deal.

You did something I’ve always wanted to do, just walk downtown and check the different places that we have. I’d also like to just park my car at the beginning of Tunis Street in Hawali and walk all the way down.
